Wellspring by Silks - Beitou 2024

The design concept of Wellspring by Silks - Beitou centers around "mountain, spring, rock, weave, immerse, and pattern," seamlessly integrating nature with culture. The original exposed concrete wall features exquisite woven screens that mark the main entrance, creating a unique welcoming atmosphere. The semi-outdoor entrance lobby acts as a lantern in the city at night, softly glowing to warmly greet arriving guests.
The lobby floor, made of high-gloss black stone, reflects the immersive experience of soaking in hot springs, while the deep gray stone walls, resembling flowing water, provide a backdrop for the four woven screens and lanterns, fostering a serene ambiance. The layered design of etched glass and woven textures unfolds behind the reception desk like a theater stage, symbolizing the beginning of a journey. The warmth of the red glow from the fireplace and the ethereal smoke create a ritualistic feeling for the hot spring experience, allowing guests to settle into a tranquil state.
The restaurant, Mihan Beitou, reinterprets the architectural vocabulary of Japanese tatami mats and lattice doors, complemented by washed stone and cut slate, creating an inviting atmosphere for enjoying Japanese hot pot after soaking, enabling every guest to relax and find joy in body and spirit.
